Weekly Group Rides

Check this page often for updated listings of all types of cycling events in and around our area. Rides require, at minimum, an appropriate bike in good working order, water, and a helmet. We suggest a spare tube, energy food, maybe a little cash in case we stop, and your biggest smile! Many rides are held subject to weather. It's a good idea to confirm dates, time and any specific requirements, too. We'll see you out there — and have fun!

Our Weekly Group Rides

Join us and other riders on one of these fun rides. Whether you are new to cycling or an old pro, there is a ride that's right for you.

Visit our Facebook page for more detailed information for the rides that change location from week to week. We post events for these rides early in the week with all necessary info!

Monday6:30 PMWe're rolling out from the Ada shop every Monday for a faster-paced road ride. Expect an 18-20mph pace and a ~30 mile ride - not a race, but definitely for the more experienced road cyclist. Check out our Saturday morning ride for a more laid back road ride!Ada
Tuesday6 PMMatt Acker's Tuesday Gravel Adventure ride. Fat bikes are of course invited, but cross, gravel, or mountain bikes can do this ride, too! This ride is a two lap format, each lap being about 15 miles in length. The first lap is a reasonable 15-17mph pace with the second being a free for all (as fast as you want to go!) Matt pauses at the end of the first lap to point folks back to the parking lot if one lap is all they want to do. Each week the route is published, so those with the technology can load the ride in to their GPS. This ride takes off at 6pm, so be sure to bring a headlight and a taillight, and as always, helmets are mandatory!Townsend Park616.682.2453
Wednesday6:30pmLadies, join us on Wednesday for group MTB rides! Weather depending, we'll move around to different mountain bike trails in the area, hit some gravel from Seidman Park, or we'll meet at the GRBC Fulton location to learn some mechanics if it's raining. :) We'll meet Spring through September, always on Wednesday, always at 6:30pm. Each ride will be a no-drop, beginner friendly ride so you'll never have to ride alone! See you there! Any questions? Feel free to message Jill Martindale, jillm@grandrapidsbicycles.comTBD616.682.2453
Thursday6:30 PMJoin us for a no-drop MTB ride throughout the whole year! The location will change weekly throughout the year, and we'll usually hit nearby trails like Merrell, Cannonsburg, Luton and Yankee Springs. Be sure to dress for the weather, and in the winter months, bring a light for those shorter days!TBD
Friday7:30 AMThe Friday Morning Coffee Ride is a chance to leisurely hit the streets of GR on any type of bike. We'll depart from the East Paris location at 7:30am, and hit a coffee shop along the way. Expect to be back at the shop at 9am. This is a laid back, fun ride - all are welcome!East Paris
Saturday7:30 AMEvery Saturday during milder months we'll leave from Ada for a 20-25 mile road ride at a 15-17mph pace. This is a no-drop ride, all are welcome!Ada
